In 2021 I was told that I had a brain tumor the size of a golf ball in my frontal lobe. It was one of the most terrifying moments of my life. After an amazing healthcare team acted swiftly, I was fully recovered in 6 weeks thanks to St. Mary’s in Madison, my family and friends. After the dust settled, I felt gratitude - for every day, every sunset, every walk around the block. I was lucky enough to have health insurance to get what I needed in my time of need and some are not as fortunate. In a state of gratitude I created the “Mind Your Head” t-shirt and ballcap designs and 10% of the profits go to local healthcare clinics in Wisconsin. This year the recipient is Community Connections Healthcare Clinic in Dodgeville where they provide many services to anyone in need.
